This policy tells you how we handle, and importantly distribute, information that we discover about you from your visit to @CharitySimplified.org (the site; our site). This policy describes the way Black & Brown Corp., Inc., and our site @CharitySimplified.org, collects, stores, uses and protects your personal information. When you provide us with your contact information, we deem that to be your agreement to our privacy policy. This privacy policy may be updated when we feel it’s necessary, and we’ll post the revision on our website. The changes are effective when we post it on the site in this Privacy Policy. In addition, if the revisions include a substantial change, we will post it clearly on our website’s home page. This is our first privacy policy.

We have created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. We do not collect personal identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.

Throughout this policy, we use the term “personal information” to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user.

How we collect information about you

When you register to donate or purchase goods or services on the site, we gather your personally identifying information to complete the transaction and aid in delivery of the asset donated or purchased. We don’t currently accept advertising on our site and we don’t collect data and transfer data to third parties, other than those involved in your transaction at the site. Your contact information may be used to send further information about our organization or to contact you when necessary. You may always opt-out of receiving future mailings. How you can “Opt Out” is the next paragraph.
Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information
If you don’t want to hear from us after your transaction, you may send a note to Genna@CharitySimplified.org. I’ll see to it your name is removed from our mailing list after your transaction is complete. We don’t intend send you unwanted information and will change if you’d like. We must send you information about your transaction including tax information. You may update your contact information on the site under MyGIVIN.

If you donate or purchase goods or services on the site, we collect the following types of information from you:

Contact information – your name, address, phone, email, information about the asset donated or purchased, date of the transaction and similar information.

Sending us an Email

You may decide to send us personally identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a Web form that provides us this information. We use personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your requests. We may forward your email to other employees or consultants who are better able to answer your questions. We may also use your email to contact you in the future about our programs that may be of interest. It’s a privilege for us to have your personal information. We will not abuse it. We will respect your privacy.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. We do not share your information or email address with anyone, except as required by law and specified below in “How we use the personal information we collect.”

Reading or Downloading

We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or princeton.edu if you are connecting from Princeton University’s domain), the date and time you access our site, the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked to our site, your order information so that we can process your transaction as requested.

We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, to help us make our site more useful to visitors and to complete your transaction completely and smoothly.

How we protect and store personal information

We store and process personal information and protect it by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. We use firewalls and data encryption to keep your information safe. We enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files. We authorize access to personal information only for the employees or consultants that need the information to process your transaction or other business-related communication.

Our contracts with consultants and service providers dictate that they only use your information to provide you with the services requested. They are not permitted to use your information for their own benefit or any reason no associated with furthering your transactions and future support.
  • Credit bureaus to report outstanding negative balance accounts, as allowed by law.
  • Law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties when:
    • We are compelled to do so by subpoena, court order or similar legal procedure
    • We need to do so to comply with law
    • We believe in good faith that the disclosure of personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity, or to investigate violations or fraud
    • Other third parties with your consent or direction to do so

Security Measures

Black & Brown Corp, Inc. operates a website, @CharitySimplified.org. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. The security measures include a firewall and 24/7 monitoring of site traffic by Word Fence. as well as 256-bit SSL encryption, where permissible, on all transaction-oriented operations between you and @Charity Simplified through GeoTrust.

Be aware, no website or Internet network can be completely secure, unfortunately. Although we take steps to secure your information, we do not guarantee, and you should not expect, that your personal information, searches or other communications will always remain secure.
